Choosing the right bids is actually an art because each ad account is different and has different things that work for it. Something that works for me may not always work for you.
But there are 4 basic bidding strategies which everybody has access to: manual CPC, manual CPC with enhanced CPC, maximize clicks, and target ROAS.
Each strategy has its own pros and cons but I recommend maximize clicks for new stores/beginners.
It’s extremely important to understand that no matter what strategy you decide to use, you still need to test different bids and make sure you’re in-between the green corners shown in the video.
Over bid and risk the chance of losing $$. Underbid and risk the chance of not having your ads shown at all.
The general formula to begin the bidding process and the campaign which I use is CPC = (avg. conversion rate x avg. profit) x 0.5.
