Drag 1920×1080 image to Shotcut canvas/source
Drag the same image from source to the timeline
Drag the video that needs to be rotated to the canvas/source field
Add rotate and scale filter
Rotate the video to the correct orientation, (Likely 90,180 or 270 degrees)
Scale video to fill canvas/source view
Drag from canvas/source to the timeline, overwriting the blank canvas placed there earlier.
Boom, you are done.
Save video, then export or continue editing as you please.
